I'd give up looking. It will jump into your hand eventually. Meanwhile, make the coffee in a saucepan. The old fashioned way of my Arab Grandpa and his friend the coffee importer both of whom used a conical copper pot but any saucepan will do. Bring fresh water to the boil but don't let it boil - quickly remove from heat just as the bubbles break surface - add a little salt - quickly throw a tablespoon of coffee per cup on top - whisk briefly once with a chopstick or similar - splash cold water on top to make the grounds sink - leave it for a few minutes to think about life while you inhale the aroma. Drink. Black. Without adulterating with milk. But if you've made it for small cups, you can add a teaspoon or more of sugar per cup with the grounds. I regard milk in tea or coffee as barbaric! Only Europeans would think of such a thing! Who needs a coffee pot. It'll come home eventually, dragging its tail behind it. Most things do.

Actually, I make hubby's coffee most mornings. . . He claims it tastes better when I do it. There was some left over when he left for work, so I did the iced coffee thing! Funny it was mentioned earlier ~ I hadn't done that before today! mmmmm
Have a great day!

Ohhhh, right on the counter, always on, always fresh. Our coffee pot drips, but it is most delicious. Right next to it sits the teapot, always on and always fresh. When it comes to coffee, if it's browned and it's ground, I'll be around. With tea though, it's got to be green, red, or white to be alright, unless it is herbal tea, which is always alright with me!

The coffee grounds are good for the plants and the leftover tea is most delicious iced. I'm afraid I have no experience with leftover coffee as we seldom have any!

I broke it this morning. I didn't want to say anything because I thought you'd get mad. Sorry.
