True, acting is something that anyone can learn to do.
But, how well? To be a really good--and a thoroughly
convincing actor or actress takes years and years of
hard work.
What's more, the better they are, the more they get--
which, after all, is only fair. Because, whereas it could
be argued that they get enormously rich for what we,
the public, see as just a couple of hours of screen time,
it takes an average of a couple of years to produce a
motion picture.
Sadly, a screenwriter gets a mere fraction of what any
actor does--even the least-talented. (But any of the most
famous actors/actresses can look very dumb if they're
in a movie with a lousy script.)

At the top of the pay scale, it can seem like too much money. But compared to business executives, it's a bargain.
Stars get paid big bucks because they contribute to profitability. A big name on the marquee greatly increases the chances that the investors will get their money back with a profit. And that allows them to put the hundreds of people necessary to make a major motion picture to work.. Compare that to a CEO who can bankrupt his company, hurting investors and putting thousands of people out of work and give himself a bonus for it.
A good Character actor can delineate a supporting character just by walking onscreen, give a performance that increases the film's popularity and do it in a minimal number of takes--saving the company a lot more than the $30-50,000 a day he gets paid. Because every extra day of shooting costs a lot more than that.
That's why animated films are so popular with the studios, The principle cast can read their lines over the weekend instead of spending weeks on Location. Lots cheaper.
But the vast majority of actors, also necessary to filmakers, make less than $12,000 a year.
It's all relative. The money actors make for producers makes the salaries they get a good deal.

You wouldn't be in a movie for free if they'd pay you 5 million. You know you wouldn't!
For one thing, acting is much harder than people think. I'll bet my mortgage you don't even know how much effort and time and hard work goes into making a movie. Second, the pay is not for how hard they work or how talented they are anyway: it is for how much money they draw in for a film. $5 million is not very much money to pay someone who's presence in a movie will garner it an additional $50 million in revenue! Movies make a lot of money. That money should go to the people who make it so that movies make that much money. In many cases, it is the actor.
So let's say you work at MacDonald's. If the very fact that YOUR working there made it so that more customers came in and MacDonald's made millions more in revenue, wouldn't you expect to get paid more then? You can say no, but you'll be lying. The fact is that actors get paid exactly what they deserve: however much a studio is willing to pay them. If a movie makes $200 million because Johnny Depp is in it, when it would not have even made $100 million without him, then who deserves to get most of that money? Truth is that most big named actors are UNDER paid.

Just because YOU say you act good, doesn't mean you act good hun.
Acting IS a talent. Not everyone can act good. That's why some people say "Oh, that celeb can't act" or "This celeb can't act". And it's their job. They get payed for it like any other person that has a job would get payed, except different salaries.

Most actors don't make much money at all.
Same with musicians.
Just because the top people in entertainment make obscene incomes, people forget that for every famous performer, there are a million people who struggle from gig to gig.
As to whether anyone can learn to do it. Nah, not well.

Dude actors are payed WAY TOO MUCH, especially when compared to other more worthy jobs like teachers and nurses that take care of the elderly, and other such jobs. Actors provide entertainment, which is a luxury, NOT a necessity!!
