In Football (Soccer) Do You Like Offense Or Defense?

I prefer watching a good defensive game with both sides with great defense. I find it intriguing to watch how the offense try's to break the defensive line. I rather watch a 1 - 0 game as opposed to 3 - 2 or 4 - 3 match. What do you prefer

In America sports are more about entertainment than anything. I play soccer myself and I play defense most of the time. As a soccer player on the field, I'd much rather have my team play a defensive game where we play strong than get into a shootout of who can score last. People want to see action though and they want to see goals. Many people would rather watch football or basketball because quite simply, they score more points. I think the best players can score AND play defense. As a soccer player I'd rather watch a 1-0 because it shows a battle of skill rather than a sloppy defensive give away of goals. Look at the NBA how many people get credit for good defense and even if they do they don't get nearly as much credit as a guy who drops 40 points. Scoring points in sports is what people want to watch, but it doesn't win you games or championships if you can't play defense which I believe is most important.

Offensive soccer is fun to watch and given the right combination of players can be downright magical. However, you can't put all your eggs in one basket and play only offensively or only defensively, you have to have the right mixture of both. It has to be relatively balanced, but I think a little more offense is exciting.

I play sweeper, but I'd have to go with offense. Anyway you rarely see a good defensive game because every time somebody makes a clean, entertaining tackle refs will call a foul because so many forwards dive.

I like Offense but I like defenders !!!!
but I think if the most of the matches end with 3-4 or 4-5 its not Foot ball its Basket ball :)

it isnt nice to see both teams playing hard on defence, it would turn out to be boring! it's always nice to see BOTH teams doing some attacking, but both teams playing defensive is boring

i love playing and watching defense. my brother's both played and i play now. there's just somethin about shuttin down forwards and midfielders that just pumps me up.
