and 1 m = 100 cm
so,
for cm2 to m2 substitute 1 cm2= (.01)(.01) = .0001 m2
and 1 m2 = 100 cm x 100 cm = 10000 cm2
so the formulas to convert are

and
y m2 = 10000 y cm2
