I know this extremely jealous, nosy, manipulative person and I just really want to get her frustrated. She uses both covert and overt aggression. She also loves to play the victim and cry when manipulating people or when her true self is exposed.

I do try to ignore her, but I just get so frustrated and I would really love to just piss her off (in a respectful way-if that is possible). Does anyone have any advice?

Nothing aggravates or can aggravate a manipulator more than ignoring him/her. you may not see the efects, but continue, the persons manipulation styles will begin to intensify because you are not responding like they want you to. and it may get even very very violent, by the time it does so, then you;d probably have probable cause to call the authorities on such a person, and you can relish in seeing the person either going to jail, or getting some kind of bad punishment.

My first reaction would be to tell you to forget about aggravating the manipulator. I would just avoid her. Some people do anything to get attention, but it's really not worth your time and effort to try and get this person angry. She's not going to change, so why bother? Concentrate instead on people who uplift your spirits instead of tearing them down. You'll be a lot happier, and the manipulator can do her ranting elsewhere.

I also feel like you should just ignore her , but I know what you mean you want to put her in her place. Well if you know what makes her jealous play on it. When she plays the victim try to be compassionate ttreat her like a baby. Good Luck!

Yes Farris Buellers sister, try focusing more on yourself than what your brother does. "Out of a movie gives the best advice".

or play her game for awhile. It really ticks someone off to use their stardegies on them.

By not doing things her way. Find a way to do really well on a project without being asked - but make sure it's your way, not how she likes you to do things.

Don't stoop to her level. It's hard to piss off people like that or if you do, they will "get even" with you later.

Point out to her that she is unig ego defence mechanisms. explain to her that she is using the same justifications that a drunk and a drug addict will use to allow themselves to drink.
