I'm trying to get in to acting and I live in Rhode Island and I can not do anything that costs money

Search for acting coaches in your area, and try out for local and school plays. Good luck.


EDIT: Whoever below said that you "must take acting lessons for 15 years" doesn't know what they're talking about. There's no set limit for how long you need classes, or if you even need classes at all. Some people have a natural talent and they get better simply by doing while others need to hone it by going to classes. Others will spend thousands of dollars and spend years in class and they will still suck. Start by getting into theater class at your school and if you feel you have a love for it and a talent then either get into acting classes or try to find an agent. But don't get into acting because you want to be famous, because the streets in Hollywood are clusterf--ked by talented actors who came here with stars in their eyes but never were discovered.

In that case you can't go into acting. Acting lessons are VERY expensive and you must take acting classes for 15 years!

go in drama classes. when u get older go to college and stuff. its extremly hard to become a famous one but good luck.
