They hate the West regardless of who is in power. I wish that it could be blamed on the current administration and dismissed once he is out of office, but that is not a possibility. This will be a threat for a very long time.

Yes, al-qaida just sees Bush as the image of america so naturally if they hate america they hate bush. They'll probably still plan more and more attacks on democratic nations.

It was a threat before he entered office so I would expect it to be after he is gone. The difference is that no one fully recongnized the extent of the threat until 9/11/2001.

Al Qaeda perpetrated many attacks throughout the 90s. They started planning 9/11 in 1996. I don't think they were prescient enough to know that George Bush was going to be elected in 2000, so I'd bet they aren't going to fold up shop after he's done.

They will not only be a threat, they will be a promise...
They hate President Bush because he is putting effort into destroying their terrorist organization and because he represents the country where we have relative freedom from murderous thugs who rule by terror. When the next president is elected and takes office, they will continue to revile America and all other democracies.

Let me remind you that during the Clinton Administration, a US building in New York was bombed, two US embassies were bombed, and a US naval ship was bombed...by who? Islamic radicals who want nothing more than to see America fall.
