Depends on far, far, FAR too many variables. For example:
1. Living in the SF area vice Kokomo, Indiana? The regional costs of living are drammatically different!
2. Are we talking areas with higher taxes or lower?
3. Are we talking someone in poor health, on lots of medicines and with lots of medical bills or not?
4. Are we talking ONE person, a couple, or a family?
And so on. Too vague for any meaningful answer; so, I'll just make up a number: $24,872.29

I know people that have no salary at all and they are doing OK. I also know rich people that are broke, just at a different level. Driving a Porsche but cant afford gas. I guess its up to the individual.
I don't need a salary. Ill just crash at your place and raid your fridge.

My current one: $500 a week. I pay mortgage, school fees, and for luxuries like cable and internet. Oh, and since I rarely drive, I can make in on minimum gas.
I live in the Bahamas btw...1 1/2 gallon of milk $4.95

Interesting question: cash flow is more important then salary.
Here in sunny Southern Florida two adults in good health can live comfortably spending $36,000 if:
1) No debt, no mortgages (auto, home, boat, ...)
2) Home taxable value under $200,000.00
2) Wind/water/home insurance costs under $3,000.00 annually
3) Home owner association under $2,000.00 annually
4) One vehicle, with auto insurance under $1,000.00 annually
Health insurance is the unknown - different for each person.
