Most sensible minded people are aware that Barry was on steroids and so were a lot of other players. Baseballs owners pretended like they did'nt know anything because it was good for business and look at what they've done. They owe Hank big time, bottom line is the owners and Selig are just as guilty as the juiced up players.

Are you saying that Bonds took steroids the year he hit 73 homeruns but no other year? In his entire career he hit more than 50 homeruns only once. Do all ballplayers that hit over 50 homeruns in a season use steroids? And the real question is, "how do you know all of these things when the Grand Jury is not able to come up with any evidence for an indictment?".If you are guessing or if it is your opinion just say so, if you have facts why don't you tell us what the facts are?

I agree with your opinion BUT there are other variables that you are not considering. The ball itself is not the same today as it was back when Barry and Sammy and Mark McGuire and others started. It has gotten harder in the center which can lead to longer hit balls. Is that the whole answer, I don't think so, Barry and Mark and others got HUGE in size and most are now slimming down. Does training add size, ask Arnold! I think the drugs helped but are not the total answer. BTW you do know how steroids work, right? They do NOT add bulk just by taking the drugs! They DO enable your body to heal faster, so instead fo taking a day off between upper body workouts, for example, you can do it every day!

YES YES YES!! ok... its all in the clear. Bonds is using steroids. HES A DIRTY CHEATER!
But.... I would like to see all those critics out there use steroids and hit 753 over the fence. Wont Happen. It Does Require talent too folks!
Bonds is a great player, and he deserves the homerun title... but dont worry, if Ken Griffey Jr stays healthy, that record will be gone in a few short years.

I'll tell you what... why don't you look at pictures of "Hammerin'" Hank Aaron in his rookie season and in his final season. Men put on size and weight as they age. So your theory holds no water.
Hmmmmm, he looks bulked up! Look at pictures of "Rocket" Roger Clemens in his rookie season versus now. Could it be that this guy (named in the Jason Grimsley papers, by the way) has used a substance that is now banned?
I love how all the Bonds haters forget how many pitchers have been suspended due to failed "drug" tests as opposed to position players. Do you think it is possible that some of the pitchers that gave up those 73 home runs were juiced?
By the way... do steroids explain the number of walks? The batting average? The on base percentage? Steroids do NOT improve bat speed or your vision.

It's not a matter of growth. HGH will not give anyone that type of growth spurt. His hat size is based upon water retention, which is one symptom of steroid use, and not growth hormones.
Steroids will make your muscles more defined, tighten them up ridiculously and will slow your bat speed down.
I'd say that he never got defined, only chubbier due to his age and was holding too much water after taking the steroids.

I don't think Barry Bonds should, if he does reach that 756, be allowed to be put on the records that he broke the previous one. I'm sorry but when you use performance enhancing drugs, your records from those years that you used it should be erased from the record books. Sammy Sosa stopped using it and look how thin he is now. I think Bonds is still using it no matter how much iron pumping he does. You just don't get that much bulk from just pure iron pumping....you will get muscular, for sure but not that big. He is still using something I'm sure. And for all those whose career were based on performance enhancing drugs should be eliminated. Look at the current record holder from the past. He's tiny but he still set a record...but then again, he probably used something back then. I'm sorry but kids look at these guys as role models and pressume that taking steroids is okay. I think it's purely cheating and they stink....rotten to the core.

Who cares, we have Vick accused of something more serious than Barry breaking a HR record. Let's talk about that.
Where are the priorities like dealing with punks and thugs like Scott Olsen and Michael Vick? Why do people care so much about Bonds over cruelty to animals and drunk drivers who fight with cops and teammates? Let's talk about that? Baseball is not religion and Barry is not God so stop talking about him all the time. Just enjoy the show and be entertained and shut up!
GO BARRY!
I'm embarrassed that Atlanta even has a fan like you! I mean being a fan of Atlanta as well. Seems like you would put more of your anger towards "real" bad guys like Vick!

I could take steroids all day and never put up them numbers, but my stats are never going top be compared of the greatest of all time. It does take talent, but compare apples to apples. Hank Aaron put up them numbers unmedicated, so to break his record players who are also unmedicated should only be in contention. In this day and age, with undetectable performance enhancers, its anybodies guess who that will be. A-Rod and Pujols are having great early careers. If they continue to test clean , maybe we will have a new king. Barry Bonds will only be king in San Francisco and the record books.

You forgot that his huge size change and home run swing took place at age 35! It all started because he got jealous about McGwire doing it naturally (well, using Andro, which was allowed back then). Yeah -- we all double in size and strength at age 35!!!
