Never hurts to call, but ... what is your concern with simply cashing it? Obviously they feel that they owe you the money. UNLESS it's a HUGE sum of money, I'd say a big thank you to God and cash it.

It's sad you have to ask the question. Yes, you call if you don't know why you got it!

Being honest and maintaining a good moral perspective will always pay you dividends. Don't cheat yourself. Be the best person you can be. You'll attract the same into your life.

Depends a lot on the circumstances. Maybe it's severence or vacation pay you earned?
No harm in calling if you are concerned enough to ask here.

Did the check give any indication what it was for. Maybe they had a labor audit and should have paid you more. You can call them if it makes you feel better.
