As a general rule, you should probably hold off on trying to conceive again for 18 to 23 months — about the same waiting period recommended for women who deliver vaginally.
That may seem like a long time, but you've just had major surgery in addition to giving birth and you need to let your body recover and replenish lost nutrients. For instance, you may be anemic because of the iron transferred to your baby and placenta during pregnancy, as well as the blood loss you suffered during childbirth. Women who deliver via c-section lose twice as much blood — about two pints on average — as women who deliver vaginally.
That said, if you do get pregnant less than 18 months after a c-section, don't panic. Taking at least an 18-month break between births is a guideline designed to reduce your risk of complications, but many women get pregnant sooner and do just fine.

I don't get why people rush to have a second one. Let your kid enjoy childhood and be the only one before rushing to have another. From my experience with friends, they have kids close together and then complain how tough it is and say they would have waited if they had it to do over again. Mommy is frazzled and constantly yelling at the kids and misses out on the actual fun aspect of parenting.

it all depends on how the c-section goes and if there were any complications. i had a c-section with my first daughter and 6 months later i got pregnant again but i had to have another c-section cuz i wasnt completely healed and pushing would cause complications

i was told 6 months to a year. your body had been through major surgery and needs to heal properly
though there are women like britney spears who had c- sections a year apart with no problems follow your doctors instructions on this
