Is it true that Goldberg and Chris Jericho once had a back stage altercation ending in Goldberg being put in a submission hold and nearly choked out?

To the person that says Jericho only has one submission hold, that may be true with his ring style , but remember Jericho did train in Stu Hart's dungeon so he probably knows a few submission holds.

yes this is very true. Goldberg started acting the real tough guy and Jericho basically beat the crap out of him.
Similiar things happened with booker t kicking crap out of batista, bret hart knocking shawn michaels into tomorrow; sid eudy running like a little baby from brian pillman.

Yep. I've heard it said numerous times from numerous wrestlers who witnessed it. Supposedly a lot of the WWE locker room witnessed it. I know that Raven talked about it in a shoot interview & said that it absolutely happened and if anyone in the business would know about it, it would be him.

"Once had a backstage fight with Chris Jericho in 2003. Sources say that Jericho had him in a submission move, and Goldberg was powerless to do anything."

no. Jericho only has like one submission move and its the walls of Jericho.
