I'v been with a man for 13yrs. Premaritial sex is a sin all in itself. I will be recieving $500,000 inheritance from a woman I'v takin care of for 5 yrs. I was legal advised that "Joe" is trying to take me for 1/2 since he says we are common law. Since I have not gotten the settlement yet I may need 2 divorce him. He is a junkie/ crackhead & I broke up with him 2 yrs ago what should I do?

PA is a commonwealth state. You can fight it though. To be commonlaw married you have to present yourself as married. Call yourselves husband and wife. Have you lived with eachother for the 13 years? Do you have anything with both of your names on it, a credit card or mortgage or loan of some sort?

I would defanatly go to a lawyer and see what they say. You can get a free consultation.
