Me and my friend are coming to Amsterdam on September. We are trying to find a studio / 2 bedroom apt in a rate of up to 800 euros. We are also looking for any job, maybe something in a restaurant of a bakery. Can you help?

Make sure you have the right kind of visa and a work permit. Otherwise any job you can get is illegal and underpaid. And police and social services often check for illegal workers in restaurants and shops.

Look at the Dutch embassy or consulate site for your country.

Once you are here, (with the right papers) you can go to any of the job agencies as they often have those jobs.

First of all, Amsterdam is in a housing crisis. Finding a place can be very, very hard- the government has even made special housing for students out of portable trailers. Getting a job would also be difficult unless you are an EU citizen, or have special, in-demand skills, like IT related stuff. Some hostels will hire people under the table or for limited periods, so that would be your best bet for unskilled work. Good luck!

Check out expatica.com. It's an Amsterdam newspaper. You can see pics and prices of apartments there. Good luck and have fun on your trip. ☺
