Call a lawyer and ask if you can get a 1/2 hour consultation- were you under 18 when this happened? They may be understanding if so - after all how were you supposed to get there to do the community service? The lawyer may be able to tell you what to expect when you go to court. By the way its better to turn yourself in on a Monday very early morning- that way you dont have to sit in jail all night first.

The court may re-sentence you to a different sentence (if the laws of your state allow that).

Or you may be fined for your previous failure to comply with the court order (contempt of court) and then you'll have to do the community service as ordered.

Call the DA in the town and take the mystery out of it; he can probably tell you exactly what will happen instead of guessing.

Sunday night might mean being jailed and not out till Monday.

Antonio...........As discussed numerous times from your other screen name, the military is not going to take you.

So if you work, and concerned about your child, why would you turn yourself in on Sunday night? I wouldn't take any money. Have someone standing by to bail you out if possible.

well, to me and other people, i really think that you are brave for turning yourself and you sound like a good father. what would happen is that u will no to jail for sure and i think that the highest amount of money that will be taken away from you will maybe just be about a few thousnds dollars. so i jope you make he right decision..
bye

Talk to the prosecutor in that county and tell him your plans and he will take over from there.

THEY WILL LOCK YOU UP TIL YOU SEE THE JUDGE WITH IN 24 HOURS. THEN IT'S UP TO THE JUDGE. TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE PLANNING TO JOIN THE MILITARY AND THAT THIS CAME UP. TELL EM THAT YOU ARE STRAIGHTENING YOU LIFE OUT AND THAT THIS IS THE ONLY THING IN YOUR WAY. THEY MIGHT BUY IT OR THEY MIGHT TELL YOU TO COMPLETE THE SERVICE OR THEY MIGHT LOCK YOU UP. IT'S UP TO THE JUDGE.
