'Old Boy' is a great film (Korean), if you like violent films that also have brains and style. Old Boy is one of my favorite films ever (though, I admit, the list is long ;).

'The Puffy Chair' is the last really good Indie film we saw. It's very real (low-budget), but if you love film and the humor suits you, you won't notice. I used to live with some politically motivated, pot-smoking, granola guys and I laughed my *** off during this movie.

There are lots of great classic movies (that's why they call them classics ;): Hitchcock's Vertigo is great, if you haven't seen it (all Hitchcock is great, really); We love 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe', with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. 'All about Eve' is another good one, with Betty Davis.

Sci-fi: Alien 'Resurrection' is pretty great, largely because of its director, Jenuet. Kubrick's '2001' is great. And 'Blade Runner', of course.

If your a little arty and you like films to scare you---David Lynch's 'Lost Highway' is an absolute stunner. Really, I think all of his films are great (even Dune), with the exception of Inland Empire, which I felt could use a tough editor.

Just suggestions.

Blade Runner-- one of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi movies, and a "must see" for any Harrison Ford fans.

The Sting-- Robert Redford and Paul Newman and one of the best-written screenplays of all time. Hard to get better than this.

Any Marx Brothers movie-- When you see how funny the Marx Brothers are, it makes all the so-called comedies that depend on bathroom humor and things that are gross or disgusting seem really stupid.

Das Boot-- An absolutely riveting war movie told from a point-of-view we don't usually get to see.

Kelly's Heroes-- A young and good-looking Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Donald Sutherland, in a send-up of the war movie genre. One of my favorites.

The Lion in Winter-- Katherine Hepburn and Peter O' Toole in a character-driven script that is just absolutely dynamite.

The Stuntman-- Peter O' Toole, Barbara Hershey in a movie that is 'way, 'way too underrated. Funny and ironic.

Other People's Money-- A funny and poignant movie about...money. Danny Devito and Penelope Miller are great in this movie, Devito's character will have you howling; and a great scene where Devito and Gregory Peck, who plays the good guy, make speeches to shareholders that are awesome pieces of writing and delivery. Dean Jones does a turn in a part that's a departure from the usual characters he plays.

My Cousin Vinny-- A funny movie, Marisa Tomei and Joe Pesci are hilarious, and Fred Gwynne in a part about as far from his turn as Herman Munster as you can get.

Those ought to do for a start. Enjoy!

Classic- Pirates of the Caribbean, if you haven't already seen it. It has romance, comedy, adventure, and good actors!!

Action-

Cellular- Starring Chris Evans and Jason Statham, its a really good movie about a young guy who goes out of his way to save a woman who was kidnapped.

Transformers- I thought it looked stupid at first, but it's actually really good!!

Die Hard 4- Bruce Willis is at his best in this funny/action movie.

Blood/Gore- Apocalypto. It's an action movie about how bad the Mayans were by Mel Gibson, and it's one of my favorite movies.

Have fun!! =]

Make it easier to understand and comply. It shouldn't take a college degree in accountancy and tax law to do one's own taxes. We are a simple family with no rental income, few investments, etc., and yet it is an incredible mental burden to do our own taxes. The legal language and myriad of deductions, exemptions, and exceptions are, frankly, ridiculous. Without so many rules and regulations, taxes would be easier and people couldn't cheat so much, either. And the IRS and state revenue departments wouldn't have to spend so much manpower catching cheaters
