Accepted, without any doubt!!
I had a happy childhood, and was much loved. After that, I have had, or still have, everything that you mention, but real, unconditional, total acceptance. And I can tell you, my friend, I'd give anything to know how it feels to be truly accepted!!

Well they're all great feelings. I suppose cared for (aka loved) is the best feeling. Though being wanted and needed is great too (I think anything other than three out of three is bad, no matter what Meatloaf thinks! Tee hee!) It's also important to be liked, accepted, respected and trusted. Challenged is cool too but I wouldn't say it's at the top of my list...sometimes it's too...challenging! Ha ha. I'd rather be accepted as I am than pushed to be more, though admittedly sometimes I do need a friendly push...

The best feeling for me next to being in love is to be accepted. That encompasses the other characteristics in which you mentioned. Being accepted as you are is a given that you are liked, wanted, needed, respected, trusted, challenged, and cared for.

The best feeling for me is to be accepted. The rest follow. To be accepted for who I am means I'll be respected, trusted & so on. But, isn't love all these things?

Challeneged for me, I'm still a young man so I have that "Go out and Conquer attitude"
A good Challenge lets me see where I am in my own life. If I can live up to it, face it and defeat it. Or is it time to learn a lesson while not defeating the Challenge. Either way there is always something good that can come from the situation.

I believe, to be trusted. To be trusted, I'd have to be respected, accepted & liked. Cared for? Yes. Don't we care for those we trust? It feels good to be needed when you can truly "be there," but sometimes people need too much, are always in need, I mean. I would never want to be challenged.
Oh dear, I left out wanted. Whatever shall I do with it? Guess I'll just stick with trusted!

I would say...wanted.
Its better than being liked- someone really wants you, they don't just think you're ok.
Its better than being accepted- You can be hated and accepted, you can be sad and accepted into any group
Its better than being needed- if someone needs you, they're just using you, aren't they?
Its better than being respected- because if you want someone, you respect them to get t hem
Its better than being challenged- thats usually a negative relationship with the other person
Its better than being cared for- being cared for means they pity you.
Hope I could be of service^^

trusted, to hear the one you love say to another person without the knowledge that you could hear them, "on the top of my list why I love her, is I know I can trust her without ever thinking twice about it."
Also, it helps to be trusted and trustworthy, in both personal and business life. You go a lot further and certainly gain respect from all.

Without a doubt, accepted. I seriously could do without all of the others, but being unconditionally accepted encompasses all of the feelings and can withstand any challenges.

It's too difficult to pick just ONE thing.
Next to being loved, I would say a combination of needed and respected.
Respected does not necessarily mean being "liked."
But part of being respected IS being trusted.
