Well not just America but everywhere. It really hurts me deeply when I hear about children being abused mentally, physically, or sexually.Children are helpless and they trust adults,so they are easy targets. I can't even tell you what I would like to do to someone who hurts a child. I'm sure you can imagine. I really feel the need to do something that would actually help a child. The internet is a breeding ground for the non humans who prey on children, and I feel we must really do something about that, laws should be made for the internet, better laws, and stricter laws for molester. Please help me find some way to help, and if we all did something too, it could change our country and help so many thousand and thousands of helpless little children and babies who are suffering and hurting. For what? Evil will not win. Think if it was your child or brother or sister. It makes me cry for days to think of this, but I have to help,it's my responsibility as an adult. If wedon't who will?

i think that parents should be more educated on the psychological problems that they could cause their children by the abuse, many people are so old fashioned that they believe,"well my parents hit me and look how good i came out" well back then it was not a big deal but there are many kids out there suffering, i am a social worker at a preschool and we have a psychiatrist that comes out once a month to have meetings with the parents to explain to them what is right and wrong and "positive discipline". i think that this is very helpful. sometimes i have to sit in to translate and parents will call me back and tell me how much the class helped so i believe that if we could get them into the public school systems and have them talk to the parents i think we would be filling that gap for parents that do not understand. i also believe that child protective services should be involved, i have called in situations where i believed that a child was being abused because of what my work title is the agency has to investigate, but not everyone has this advantage so therefore i think that when a person calls in a complaint that they should at least stop by for a surprise visit just to check up on families, i know that they have plenty of calls and are not able to do this but it would surely help. as u see this is also something that i wish i could do more for, i hate to see children hurt because their voices are too small and no one listens to them, someone needs to speak up for them.

I think a very strong effort should be put on teaching, potential parents and those who are new parents, the serious important responsibility of bringing a human being into this world; that 60% of that responsibility is unconditional love;that nurturing is 40 %.
The requirement should be education, maybe,in this day, a mental evaluation. There are ,as you know so many parents who do not qualify;psycologically and mentally. Many of them can't tell the difference between a new appliance and a newborn, they put the same value on each.
This sounds harsh, but I believe it.I honestly believe some people try to decide,"should we buy a big screen tv this year or should we have the baby we've been thinking about.Let's have a baby. Prices will come down in 2 years on the tv."
That's the 1st act of child abuse. And the beat goes on.
Sorry if I offended anyone

I agree 200,000% with ya. But unfortunitly there isn't much we'll be able to legally do about it. Soceity as a whole tolerates this and they put some lame brain excuse that the perp is mentally ill, or he/she was abused as a child. So this in essence justifies them doing what they have done. So the true victims (the Child) is or has become a victim yet another time because the court system slaps the guy/girl on the hand and then releases them after a brief period in jail. MY OPINION only. But I think IF it is proven beyound ANY doubt, as in DNA evidence that this sicko has raped a child or molested a child then the appropriate appendage should be removed. Used his hands, then REMOVE ONE. If he molest again well one thing is certain he'll never do it again as he will now lose his other hand. If he has another appendage that he uses as in raping oh well, he is gonna have a very dull sex life from here after. He'll have to become a woman. And if by some remote chance he ever is able to do anything else well he can't say he hasn't been warned. DEATH PENILTY.
OH I'm IN E-Bunny CALL let's get this going.

Honey, I'm with you. I have worked in the school system for 22 years and children are so dear to my heart. It seems like we're over run by child molesters in the world today. I pulled up my area on the sex offender list and there are 237 just in my vicinity. Some of them were faces I knew and I thought were nice people. One was a man that had done some work for us. I guess all we can do is if we see or hear anything suspicious around us contact the proper authorities and PRAY. The world needs more people like you who care.

I think educating parents to be is one thing we can do. They need to understand about discipline and protecting the child. Some parents are merely continuing the cycle of neglect and abuse by raising children as they were raised, when they were not raised correctly. We all could realize that it truly does take a village to raise children and reach out to help those in need. Have you ever watched someone yell and scream or yank a child around and did nothing because you felt it was not your place? Have you seen pregnant women smoking? It's a hard thing to do, but if we don't speak up to someone, then the children suffer.

The thing I hate most is that the law won't intervene unless they have "more" proof, and then it's too late to save the child because they end up beaten to death by their degenerate parents. I feel sad knowing things like this happen, and telling the police sometimes doesn't work at all, and sometimes the children's word isn't good enough either. It just makes me so mad!!!! We need to have stricter laws and child abuse investigators need to take every case seriously even if they think there is nothing bad going on.

Make a new law called the "Pick on your own size" law. We need to start by creating an army of really big scary mean bikers, bouncers, body guards and people who 'escort' you out of casinos in Vegas. If you slap around or hurt a child in anyway, you have to answer to one of many hired goons. Within a few years, it'll stop.
Not only does it stop abuse, I have just created a few thousand jobs. Bush has been in office seven years and has done the exact opposite. I read your question two minutes ago and I think I have a really good answer.

Child protective services needs to quit "dropping the ball". When they are called to investigate, they need to follow up, not lose the paperwork until several months later when the child is dead. They need to have court ordered birth control for women that abuse children, court ordered chemical castration for convicted sex offenders. If they are convicted of abuse, they shouldn't be allowed to get their children back. All pregnant women and the fathers of the children should be given parenting classes before birth and before they leave the hospital with the children. They should make those safe drop off places for more than just infants less than 3 days old- why don't they have one for toddlers? Most of the children abused are 3-4 years of age. They can drop off their child rather than abuse it.

Yeah It is really horrible but there isnt much that can be done. Mabye if stricter laws were made there would be less abuse but I dont know. I cant really think of anything that we as a community can do to help except try to make sure the kids dont fall for online predators or anything like that.
