Make a mixture of 1/2 and 1/2 bleach and water. Spray it on the mold and wait 1 hour. This will kill any mold spores. Then you can clean it with bleach, 409, or whatever. But you want to kill the mold before you remove it, so you don't spread any spores in the air of your home.

As long as you wash it well , then why throw it away . use the soap, Best thing to do is make sure your appliance has plenty ventilation. This is why thing´s become like this, and make sure after you use them they are dried well before putting them away

Have you tried vinegar?? straight 5 percent solution of vinegar—such as you can buy in the supermarket—kills 99 percent of bacteria, 82 percent of mold, and 80 percent of germs...i clean out my coffee pot monthly with a white vinegar rinse...it works beautifully!! Try it, you'll be surprised ;) good luck!!

Clean if off and keep it. Mold has been with us since the beginning of time and only is harmful to people with allergies.

Don't throw it away. Just use some dish soap to clean it. You can wash it twice just for kicks if you want.
