Croyle will most likely be the starter and if he can cut back on mistakes I think the Defense can keep games winnable. What do you think?

The defense has gotten better, but why can't we ever manage to put a team together with a good defense and good offense?? Back in the 90's we had a great D and a totally inept offense, then we transformed into an unstoppable offense with a defense that couldn't keep a Pop Warner team out of the end zone. Anyways, as far as your question... it depends on how much we get out of Larry Johnson. The entire offense runs off of him. If he's holding out (or god forbid gets injured) and misses a number of games we're screwed. Neither Croyle or Huard will be able to put the team on their shoulders and carry them to victory. I'm not expecting great things this season, an 8-8 record. As long as we beat the Chargers, Oakland and donkeys at Arrowhead I'll be happy.

GO CHIEFS!!!!!

I think they'll finish 3rd in the division behind San Diego and Denver although it'll be close between them and the Broncos. I just don't think KC has enough firepower on offense without a top flight WR and an inexperienced QB situation. They also need OL help. That said, their defense is good and they should be competitive, but planning for better times in the future.

No disrespect meant to fans of other teams. (It's getting to be like walking on eggs when making predictions any more). This could be one of those years where the Chiefs could take the division. San Diego is in transition and Denver needs a better QB. Now, either of those teams can take the division crown, but I think KC is the likeliest but they got to take advantage of things and stay healthy to do it.

It's different for them than it is for the Patriots. I see NE as a slam dunk to win the East, but KC will have their work cut out for them in the West.

Is this assuming Larry Johnson plays the full season? If he does...7-9...if he doesn't...5-11...sorry about that....Oakland had one of the best defenses last year but with no offense...they failed...KC doesn't look like any kind of a threat without Johnson...

AFC West:
Denver Broncos (D is key)
San Diego (Need a better QB)
KC (I live in St. Joe, MO. I am surrounded by Chiefs fans. Sorry to tell you but they aren't going anywhere. They will lose to the Raiders in Oakland and win in KC. No more divisional wins though. They won't even beat the Broncos in KC this year)
Oakland (they just don't quite have it yet. They will be a force in the years to come though).

GO BRONCOS!!!

KC's only shot is a wild card spot. The Chargers have put in their reservation for 1st place in the AFC West. Sorry. LT, Merriman, they have just too much talent.
