No not really. If I were to die peacefully, No I dont mind Death. But if pain is to be involved, i.e somebody hacking me to death, or me choking etc, then I fear that process of dying. but in general, If my death comes peacefully, I welcome it. I am anxious to see what happens in the after life. That doesnt mean I am asking for any outside help in expediting my own death, so no one gets any ideas.

No. Someone once said that the only thing worth fearing is fear. But I don't really understand that. I think what most people are scared of about death is, as well as pain, is the fear of not knowing what happens next. Personally I wonder what happens. I mean you can't just die, surely there must be something afterwards, a way of your soul carrying on?

Death is the end of all feelings and emotions. Some consider it as a final resting -- like a deep sleep from which you never awaken. That in itself is not as frightening, perhaps, as the moments before death. If you believe in an afterlife, and have lived according to the dictates of your spiritual beliefs, the prospect of death is not nearly as formidable. As for me, the jury is still out on whether or not there is an afterlife. I mean, no one has ever been there and come back to tell about it. Logically, it doesn't make sense, but then there must be a higher purpose for living, than just spending time on this earth. So I guess I won't know till I get there -- if and when.
Pain can be controlled or minimized, thanks to modern medicine. In some cases, it can be eliminated entirely.

I used to fear Death. But not anymore. I realised that I fear how I may die. But death itself is probably the ultimate adventure that we can take. Even so, I am in no hurry to experience this journey. I can only hope that fate deems me worthy of a peaceful dying experience, after a long and happy life.

No, I don't fear death, I fear pain. Honestly, what is there to fear? Death has got to be easier than life. : )

I don't fear death, but I get sad for the ones I might leave behind, like my daughter. But... no I am not afraid!

Same here. I don't actually fear death. It's the dying that scares me.

Not really of death or dying but of the unknown. We all know that death is as natural as birth. But what happens when we die -- the great unknown-- is what really scares me. Is there really a white light? Are you going to be stuck in a limbo? Is the concept of hell or heaven real? Do you get to be reborn (as a person, insect, monkey, whatever).

No, I'm not really afraid of death, or dying.
But I'm terrified by the idea of the people I love dying, and the effect my death would have on them. That sometimes keeps me up at night!
