The Houstan Rockets should be better, but injuries are going to play a key role with Yao, McGrady, and Francis being plagued by injuries every year. Wells is an excellant player who will benifit from Adleman's offensive scheme. Battier will once again be the defensive specialist and 3 point threat for the Rockets. Chuck Hayes will need to play a key role in the offense as well. Mike James is a great back up to Francis and will be an offensive threat off the bench. I look for the Rockets to be #3 team in the West next year barring the injuries.

Steve Francis and Yao Ming was a proven playoff contender option. Now add T-Mac, Scola, and Battier's defense. Mike James and Bonzi Wells' offensive power in the second unit. The West Triad of Spurs, Suns, and Mavs are going to have a serious shake-up.

I wish that T-Mac and Yao stay healthy. Steve Franchise needs to step up big time this year. And Rockets need to sign good players and keep Head and Battier
Think about it the Rockets could of gone to the Finals. IF! they beat Jazz in game 7 they would of beat GS and maybe even the Spurs.

Hopefully things are looking good for the Rockets. If T-mac stays healthy and Yao improving every year they will be on fire. To top it off, the Franchise is back to run point taking A LOT of pressure of T-Mac's back. They will be running w/ the big boys this year.

barring injury, they are a LOT better... here's how
1. rick adelman is a great offensive coach... HOU had poor offense under van gundy
2. bonzi wells is staying.... people writing off this guy probably did not see the playoffs he played RIGHT BEFORE going to HOU, he was virtually unstoppable... nobody's saying he's going to a superstar, but he's a decent player and adelman as his former coach knows how to use him...
3. steve is going to be motivated to prove his doubters wrong and he didn't want to leave HOU in the first place, so he's happy just to be BACK
4. mike james.... ANOTHER very competent back-up player they got to run the 2nd unit
5. luis scola... i think the spurs are going to regret this trade down the road
the only X-factor is the dreaded injury bug... if our two brittle superstars can stay healthy for about 65-75 games (and that's really wishful thinking), HOU is a top-3 team, right up there with phoenix, dallas and san antonio

They were already better without franchise coming back with the drafting of aaron brooks and the signing of mike james. So yes, stevie is going to make a deep team even deeper.
