Yes we are temporary.
But someone asked recently whether truth was real.
It is and it is not temporary ; along with knowledge, especially the written recorded stuff- all this is not temporary.
And another thing. The written knowledge we have is very
new too(this could be one reason why it is so hard to use/find) ; for most of humankind's "temporary" history has
not and does not contain the written stuff that we rely on,
and cherish(well some do).
And some still equate the temporary nature of humankind
with a temporary nature of knowledge, written and otherwise.
This is not surprising given as i said, the newness of our
written knowledge.
Also with this in mind,we have to have a "critical stance"
towards this new knowledge, for its few-thousand-year
newness(compared with millions of years of human developement) means that we are likely to be wrong and
incorrect in our making-of this. I can cite an example, one
which most of us are well aware and/or have been taught
in its system;i mean the darwinist theory. It is NOT only
prevalent in science- it affects nearly everything we do.
One only has to look to politics, the criticicm, and yet the
loud hankering/shouting for new(and supposedly better)
so-called Leaders.
(And its almost a joke,as everyone knows that these so-called leaders are only fragile humans;no doubt backed by
powerful groups,too)
Anyway,if ur interested in learning more, follow up on my
sources.

Not knowing the context of the quotation it is hard to say what I think of it. In general the idea that we are only temporary residents of this world has permeated our world since mankind first began to think on life.
The temporary nature of life is a mainstay of all the great religions. It was the subject on many Greek Tragedies. The idea was found in many Shakespear play.......all the world is a stage and we are only actors playing our part and then we exit........More recently in the movie Broken Trail the William Duvall character says at the grave site of one of the Girls "We are all travelers between the great eternities".
That is just my opinion. The good news is that although life itself is only temporary our spiritual souls are immortal and will live forever in the next Great Eternity.

I think everything in this life is temporary.
Not even your soul understands millennium, forever.
It is the monad that lives on, and forms the spark
that brings all other manifestations to light.
you and i are temporary?
Depends if someone is saying it to you and the nature of that person's philosophy. If he's a deep thinker, I would assume he means that this life is short, and we should savor the moment.
If he/she is superficial, I would have fun and smile when it was time to say goodbye, because for this person, they live in the moment.

In our present form, yes we are temporary. Once we are no longer viable in human form we simply become take on a viable form. Our matter is part of the earth, and therefore the universe and will always continue to be. Life and death are the same.
As for what you yourself choose beleive about spirit, that's up to you. But the only constant in life is change.

I think it depends on where the words are coming from... The first thing that comes to my mind is a relationship... the meaning seems quite obvious, so i wont say it.
