Please, take a look at what you just said. The Bush administration stops the war. The Bush administration spends money on something worthwhile. The Bush administration does something good for society.

If Bush is incapable of eating bread-based snacks without choking himself I doubt he's going to be doing any of those things any time soon.

Taxes are so high because those of us that actually have an income have to pay for the worthless individuals that do not work themselves. The larges thing in the federal budget is Health and Human Services, not Defense. We should start by cutting welfare and spending on social programs.

Your thinking is absolutely on the money.
In the U.K., if the ammount of money, spent in Iraq and Afghanistan, was split between the National health service and public transport, we would have the best of both, in the world.
We went to war in Iraq, so that Tony Blair could try to gain as much kudos, as Maggie Thatcher did with the Falklands.
Unfortunately he wasn't man enough, and he also started it
under false pretences.

I would expect that a similar situation exists in the U.S.A.

someone has to take up the slack for all the millionaires that make tons of money but pay no taxes, the thousands of business that get tax cuts to continue in business even with record profits so you see it is always going to be high until you can get the rich to pay accordingly

why don`t you do a little research on government spending, and you might find that the U.S. government spends almost half of its budget on democrat/liberal voters,i.e. welfare recipients, those that do not contribute one red cent to the government coffers!
