Wow Ted you're changing your tune. As a resident of CT I am absolutely disgusted. I will no longer do business in New Haven. I will be the first in line to vote against DeStefano if he tries to run for Governor again. And the second they ask for state money to help with the influx of illegals into the city, we'll abandon our home and get the heck out of here!

Neither. It just seems completely futile either way. Are people in the country illegally really supposed to give appropriate information to government offices? I know that their is large distrust between immigrant communities and government departments, I highly doubt that many will be knocking the doors down to get ID cards. It's just a silly political gesture.

What is wrong with that city ? They must have so much money that they can afford to pay for all the free health care , schooling .and housing .
Sense they want to help the illegalls , break the US laws , maybe all the illegalls should go there and live and overcrowd and overrun THEIR town !!!!!

What kind of identification. Are we talking driver's liscences indistinguishable from those of legal residences, or are we talking branding a serial number on thier forearms?
Because one of those is a little more stomach-churning than the other...

i would atleast hope that new haven is charging the illegals big money for the card, or after cards are issued , notify the proper authorities to get them out!

Sick! But when the federal govt finally decides to enforce our laws, we will have their names and addresses on record. We'll just round them up and ship them back to where they came from.

Actually I'm glad there able to keep their hard working immigrants who keep the New Haven economy as successful as it is. Kind of like the way the entire US economy profits from the immigrant workforce.
