If you are just looking at the numbers he has put up he is the best player in the game, and one of the all-time elite. What are you looking at that speaks differently of his accomplishments?

He once was the best player in the game. Considering that his statistics have not been thrown out by MLB yet due to steroid use, his previous, record setting years with the Giants were some of the most productive ever by a MLB batter. Additionally, he has the single season home run record, powered the Giants to the post-season, and was a five-tool player even from his days as a Pirate. It is arguable that Bonds is one of the best players ever...if steroid use does not play a part in judging Bonds.
If we do toss out Barry (and McGuire, and Sosa, and many others), then the debate will shift, probably back to one of those old timers that many of us only know from the history books.

The kind of fool who thinks steroids are nothing to be concerned with. That's what really upsets me about Bonds: He was the best player in the game once. He didn't need steroids, unlike McGwire, Sosa and Palmeiro. He took them anyway. That's why he's the biggest disgrace in baseball. Except for Bud Selig. Say what you want about Bonds, but he never cancelled an entire postseason. Stunk a couple up, but never cancelled one.

Look at his overall numbers, before the allegations and remember HE IS INNOCENT until proven otherwise. He had 4 MVPS, won several Gold Glove awards and was one of the best base stealers as well. Hands down, he is the best in the game because the numbers speak for themselves. Please note that Barry does play 6-9 games at Coors Field and 6-9 games in Phoenix where the balls carry so far. Pitching is deluted and ball parks are smaller which makes home runs more inviting.

Most of those folks are located in San Francisco. The problem I have with Barry 'The Juicer' Bonds is that when you listen to his denial of steroid use and taking amphetamines you would expect the man to have an IQ of 20. So either Barry is one hell of a liar pretending to be the dumbest baseball player on this earth or perhaps he is that stupid. I go with the first choice.

He's not the best player currently in the game, but his career achievements are comparable to the greatest players to ever play the game.

Only a fool that believes so..... I think that he cannot be compared to any of the greats because his career and legal problems are not completed yet.
Only when we see the final stats and completion of the case will the truth come out, and then we can make comparisions.

Are you talking about the guy without a championship ring?
The guy who hits .245 in the post-season?
The guy who can't get another star ballplayer to join his team?
The guy who can barely throw the ball 50 feet? (Have you seen how deep into the outfield Omar goes when the ball is hit to left? BB is a defensive liability out there.).
The guy who won't send any of his memorabilia to the Hall of Fame?

He hzsnt been in the competition for that tile for a few years now, he's hurt way too much of the season at this point. You might have been able to argue that a number of years back though.

haha bonds is not the greatest player of my lifetime, there are three players that have the potential to overcome bonds' bat. Arod, Howard, and Pujos(sorry cant spell his name lol). One of these three will break bonds homerun record. And for the sake of arguement if Ken Griffey Jr didnt suffer so many injuries, he could have broken the homerun record, and even with those injuries he is still one of the best players of my lifetime. Im in awe everytime I watch that beautiful homerun swing of his
