Listen to each other. Simple as that. We need to put aside the partisanship which has taken over all facets of the political arena. The only way to make lasting change is to be open minded and realize that the so called "opposition" is working towards the same goal, just with a different approach. Just because someone does not hold the same beliefs as you does not make either of you wrong, just different.

Put an end to talk radio. Let people begin to read for themselves and form their own opinions and then discuss their opinions in a civilized manner.

If you can find a way for people to quit making politics personal that would help.

It starts at the top with a president who will work with both parties and not say stupid things, "like you're either with us or against us" or branding everyone as unpatriotic who has different opinions.
