I love this camera but one thing puzzles me . After taking pictures I view and delete the odd bad pic. But why does it leave a message saying .. File Contains no Image Data!! .. I thought it only leaves this message when the card is empty ...means I have to keep scrolling through to find undeleted pics . Is there a setting for this? I dont have this problem when I use the card in another camera so it must be the setting?? but how do I change it?? Thanks , hope you can help

Just like with your hard drive on your computer when you delete something it doesn't actually remove it, it just tells the computer that space can be used again. You camera has a small computer in it so when you delete a photo the photo is still there, your camera just makes that space available, but like your computer it leaves a little something behind, it might have to do with the numbering of the pictures and how your camera keeps track of them.

Start by formatting your card as stated, I recommend that instead of deleting pictures on your camera (unless theres just nothing there at all) you wait until you download them to your computer then delete what you don't like or don't want to keep. Once you have downloaded your pics and your ready to take more always format your card instead of using the delete function, formatting starts you out fresh every time.

Take your card out, copy all photos stored on it on your computer.
Now replace your card and select to format your card.
This should clear up the problem. After this, always empty your card in this camera, as it does not accept it done in an other way.
Or buy a second card so you can check if it is your camera.
But format any card you use in the camera you want to use it in.

Several will own the same camera you do.)
