how about getting a picture of you two together and as a poster with your family name as the team with a baseball teme border Make yourself appear like you would see a baseball poster of a player.

A day at the ball park. Baseball tickets or go to your local park and gather some friends. Have a fun game of baseball. A glove would be nice. Or him to teach a little league class. Also you could get your whole family involved in that baseball game. An autographed baseball would be cute. OR how about a picture of you in your baseball outfit with a card??

Well, if that is the case, then instead of purchasing a whole bunch of gifts, buy a new baseball and ask to spend the day throwing the ball around with him. Im sure he would apreciate spending a day with you more than anything else. Find a nice picnic area, pack a nice lunch and bring your new ball and father there and enjoy a good day outside. You will make him happy by not spending too much money and yourself happy for giving your father something he can truly enjoy.

This sounds gross, but it is a great novelty gift for a baseball fan.
Get a baseball and a brown candel.
Go to a trophy shop and get a wooden trophy stand with an engraved plate that saya, "Baseball's biggest snot wawrd."
Mount the baseball onto the wooden stand with a screw fron underneath and wood glue on the bottom of the ball to add extra strength. Then melt the brown wax all over the ball, and it looks like a huge snot!
The fact that you made the gag gift yourself makes it even more fun.

Here is a cheap easy present idea. My sister made this for me for christmas a few years ago and I love it. Find out who your dads favorite team is. Go to Walmart or the dollar store and buy a big picture frame. The one I have is about 24X48. Print pictures from the computer or take from magazines of players, logos, stadiums, etc that relate to his team. Get a solid color back drop of the teams colors and put the pictures on it. Be creative and have fun. Put the finished product in the frame and there you have it. Cheap, easy, fun, and nice. Mine hangs on the wall right behind my desk at work and I absolutley love it.

You should take him to a game.. oh that would be buying something.
I know how stressful this is... I get so worked up with presents!!
Maybe you buy him a cheap baseball cap at Michaels or Walmart and decorate it ....
Or a picture of you both at a baseball game or something. Then you could decorate a frame for him.

It's so great to hear someone saying that they get along with their dad so well!
Do you have pictures of the two of you doing different things like playing ball, hanging out, at a game, etc...? Put together a lil frame collage of the pictures that he can hang up- you don't need to go out and buy an expensive frame, you can make one with nice papers from the store- all kinds of stuff out there now with scrapbooking being so big. He'll love it for sure- and he can hang it up in his office or put it on his desk if it isn't so big. =)
I miss my daddy!!!

No he won't mind you buying him tickets to a Yankees game... I guarantee it! They're playing the WHITE SOX this month and next. 2008 season tickets and his eyes will bug out! Try and get tickets close to the dugout so he can scream "you dirty bums" or "ump' yer' blind you moron!" and of course get autographs...

Oh and being in Kentucky is NOT a problem for a Yankees fan. Its only an 8-hour drive to NYC. He can get a room at a Super8 or Motel6 motel on the outskirts of NYC (White Plains, NJ, or CT). or he can take a bus, train, or plane. Plenty of parking at the stadium. He can even rent a car in Kentucky at Enterprise.com or rent a RV at http://www.cruiseamerica.com
NY Yankees are playing Cleveland OH (away game) in August (Here's the August schedule: http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=nyy&m=8&y=2007 )
Now if he's a Cincy (Reds) fan that's even closer (and my favorite team)!

Make a hatrake with miniture baseball bats that you buy at staples, the same with baseballs.
What you do is hot-glue them together. Trust me, I've done it for my father (braves fan, go figure!) and he loved it. And with hot glue it is very strong and, if you paint over the glue, the glue is practictly invisible. Hope this helped,
Mc
