Not sure but this is the first answer.

No, because I bet numerous people have probably already questioned the originality of questions they have asked.

There is also a post-modern theory doing the rounds, that nobody has ever even thought a wholly original thought.

Personally I disagree. The human mind thinks about 50'000 thoughts every day, so I guess over a lifetime (average life-expectancy, 75 years) we will think at least ONE original thought.

No, it's not, because it's the question people ask in their minds all the time just before they ask a question in the Philosophy section of Y!A. Is it original enough, is it deep, will it get a lot of answers? They're not out loud, but it's thought enough to no longer be original.

Is this an original question to answer your original question?

Sure. How many people would ask if, "Is this an original question?" was an original question?

This question has abstract origins of its own, as it is reflecting upon itself to call its own existence into question. Therefore, the actual fact of the question is deeper the its expression in words.

The word 'original' here means itself, the self of the question, or the 'original question'. And like anything else in the world that comes into human observation and that becomes part humanly subjective knowledge. Everything in existence is but an expression of some higher reality in existence that human eye seeks. But since this question is reflective upon itself it has all the basic qualities of human intelligence with which aims to become self-conscious, or better aware of it self, but one thing is for sure that it will remain a question. Be careful with this!
