Just because there wasn't any Women or Alieans in the movies doesn't mean there bad.
Read the books there are both women and alieans in them!

The Galactic Civil War has a darker edge to it, which I like better than the Clone Wars. Whether the Jedi and the Republic had prevailed in the Clones Wars or lost badly, the result would have been similar. Had the GCW been lost...there would have been no hope left in the galaxy.
I, too, fall on the side of the Imperials. Without the corrupt Emperor at the helm, it could have worked out well.

I absolutely love it. Though not nearly as much as my husband and his brother, but still. Every Tuesday and Saturday evenings we play the Star Wars RPG (yeah, I know we're dorks, but we have a great time). One of the games is set during the Galactic Civil War (we're playing Emps, btw) =) the other is set before the sith wars (a millenia before the clone wars) and it's tons of fun. My favorite era? I'm a fan of the clone war era simply because it wasn't so dark. But that's just me.

Same here. However, it is very close. People trashed the new films because they was more background info from other sources that really made the Clone Wars great for me. My friend and I used to watch Star Wars at work all the time and talk just about Star Wars(no one really got it). Star Wars is the saga to rule them all. Luke pwns Harry and Frodo.

Rebels rock!!! The Empire is just a bunch of sexist xeno-phobics. They don't let women or aliens in there ranks. The Rebels on the other hand let anyone willing to fight for freedom join. And Rebels aren't idiots who put an exhaust shaft right above their main reactors.
