I bought some hosting and it offers 1GB per month bandwidth.. but when I log onto the control pannel it only tells you have used .0439gb, so can anyone tell me... How many gb is free to use yet and is 0.439gb = 439mb

If you dont know how to understand measurements of bandwith, then maybe you shouldnt be buying hosting.

.439 gb is 439 mb. Since 1 gig is 1000mb, you subtract.
1000-439 = 561
So you have 561 mb left.
If the "month" runs from the 1st to the 1st (and this is the 24th), then you have used a little less then half of your bandwidth.
You should be good for the 7 days left this month.

There are 1024 MB in a GB so 0.0439 is 43.9 MB and yes, 0.439 GB is 439 MB.
