John, Einstein was NOT an atheist. He was always saying things like "God does not roll dice..." and stuff like that. The two smartest people on earth today are arguably Marilyn Voss -Savant and Stephen Hawkins. NEITHER one of them has EVER officially said they were atheist. Why? Because only a fool says there is no God..(Psalm 14:1 )

Maybe b/c they are too smart to be recorded and labeled and therefore judged by biased history.
Maybe you are wrong and it just seems (to your inexperienced, non-expert perception) that there is a correlation where there really isn't one.

It's very telling for you to admit that you "dont know much about "religion" or the wisest people."

Assuming your analogy of a running motor is to that of a thinking human brain, even if you can't spell motors correctly, I doubt that this type of question really gets people thinking constructively. Maybe you should try running your motor sometime, or maybe get it serviced.

72% of the members of the US National Academy of Sciences are atheists and 21% are agnostic. Only 7% believe in a personal God. These are the smartest scientists in the US.

In general, the smarter the scientists are the more likely they are to be atheists.

There are many hidden and fallacious assumptions in your arguement. "smartest recorded men...." A lot of judgement on who is "smartest" is very subjective. It's also true that there are a lot of smart atheists and agnostics (Bertrand Russell, for example).

"You guys can't beat us..." I didn't know this was a contest. I still don't think it is. What does any of this have to do with a true criticism of atheism? Not a lot. It's merely a broad generalization+personal attack.

You may want to sit down and rethink your "us vs. them" mentality. That can be dangerous...

Peace.

Actually, being smart or the smartest is not a function of being a Christian believer or an atheist, or even being somewhere in between. Aren't you glad God sends his blessings to all types of peoples, races, ages, genders, nationalities, heights, and even most certainly religious affiliations? He sends rains and sunshine to the good and to the evil. And He makes all types of people - bad or evil, Caucasian or otherwise, believer in Christ or not - prosperous or successful in their own way. That is the grace of God. That is what makes Him a God of love.

So all these debates back and forth between believers and
nonbelievers are just a waste of time, I think.

How come you don't give any examples of these smartest men ever recorded.

Your question is proof enough that there are many christians who aren't even smart enough to have an intelligent debate.

You have 83 answers with 1% being the best, do you consider yourself to be an example of one of the extremely smart christians?

Einstein was an atheist, you jackass. Respect others beliefs or lack of

I'm so tired of Christians trying to arrgue on their beliefs, but YOU CAN'T ARGUE WITH BELIEFS! YOU NEED FACTS, AT LEAST TO START WITH!!! (see above, he has a point too)

Wrong.

The reverse is true.

More generally religiosity has been shown to be inversely proportional to intelligence. In other words, the more stupid you are the more likely you are to be religious.

Why are you such a troll? Do you take pleasure in insulting others because you are emotionally displaced, or do you lack the knowledge to debate intelligently?

Either way it's all sticks and stones...how primative and immature.
