Instead of the computer just on ...I put on "Stand By" does i save energy ?? Does it make any difference ??

yeah, it also depends on which standby, SI or S3. S1 just spins down the hard drive and turns down the monitor, thats saving a good chunk of energy and is easy to resume but its still drawing power for the fans and stuff. S3 is when everything shuts off and the powerlight just blinks. This is your best bet for quiet and power saving but its not always used because of hardware problems and if u have a lot of usb devices like me, u can get a crash when resuming from it. Your best bet is to use the windows power management. It will shutdown your monitor and hard drives after a set amount of time, this is crash free, easily resumed from and saves power. Thats what i do, and also just shutdown my computer at night. But during the day, even if not being uses i leave it on and let windows idle and stuff do its thing. If u need any help on setting that up just ask.

yes it does saves lots of energy and is using very low energy
