He has zero chance of getting the Democratic nomination so it really makes no difference, but....
No, I do not believe him. I do not believe a word that flows from his mouth. He is a liar and an opportunist (far worse than any of the rest of the candidates). He is a disgusting man.
Other than that I have no opinion of him LOL.

I remember when people where commenting on Bill Clinton's $300 haircut. To win elections you have to look the part to get anywhere, if someone went to Supercuts before a debate, people would be judging them for that. So the expensive haircuts are the media and public's fault for being too critical.
Are any of the presidential nominees living in a meager hovel? I think not. He's earned the money, if he wants a large house, then so what?! He most likely needs added security and privacy anyway with the media attention that would no doubtedly be bothering his wife and children in this trying time.
You can be wealthy and still donate and help people who are living in poverty. Why attack someone who is actually trying to get the topic out there in the public eye?!
That's a lot more than we can say for the corrupt people we elected. They only care about their pocketbooks.

To say that someone who is wealthy can't help poverty is like saying someone who is white can't stand for black rights. Of course Edwards campaign on poverty should be "believed". The wealthy will only get wealthier if there are more consumers buying products so it is quite possible that he would make more money by having more middle class people. However, it does seem odd that he wouldn't settle for a $20 haircut and maybe start some kind of foundation to help the poor, but it seems like he may be focused on trying to help the poor from inside the system instead of outside.

Yes, Edwards grew up poor and has seen each side of the two Americas. Rich self-made adults often help the poor. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are prime examples. While these men will help the poor through philanthropy, Edwards wants to effect social change and justice through public service.

Edwards grew up pretty poor. President Bush was born with a net worth in the millions, got into Yale on legacy, and was handed his own oil company through his family connections.
Is Bush's personal wealth more admirable to you because he didn't work for it, or because unlike Edwards, he doesn't HAVE any inclination to fight poverty?

Say its true, so what? Its irrelevant. Its irrelevant if the man has a reasonable plan for getting the country back on its feet. And it is especially irrelevant compared with the total catastrophic disaster the Republicans have led the country into. (That would be the intractable Iraq war and the 3,900 needless deaths, the $3 billion a week cost of it, and the over a trillion dollar debt to Communist China). Please, get a grip. Your personal survival could depend on it.

He and other super wealthy leftists could eliminate poverty for millions by donating sums of their amazing fortunes. When he gives tens of millions away, moves into a 1800sq. ft home and lives like the average American, I will take him seriously. And some of those haircuts were $1200+

No, he is a typical limosine liberal. He runs on a platform that exploits the poor. Will his Marxist income tax increases take more of HIS money? No, Edwards has tax accountants that hide his wealth. The average working American will be burdened with the Democrat's socialism.

a $400 haircut of his money.
Did he charge it off to some other expense?
Heck, if I was edwards I go on national T.V. and get a $1000 haircut just to show its my money, and I could do with it whatever I want.
And who knows, maybe the reason he gets $400 haircut,is that he loves tohelp out the person who cuts his hair?
that in itself is an act of charity to the one receiving the $400.
Someone should really look into is he going to one of the best barbers in the country, or a small mom and pops shop.
But then, back to point one--its his money!!!

actually his haircut cost $1,235.00 because he had to fly the stylist to him and something about him posing with those inner city kids supposedly shoveling dirt, the gloves brand spanking new and a little half shovel full of dirt for their new school while his multi-million dollar mansion was being built just irked me. he even has his own 'john's room' complete with pool, tennis court, racquet ball and basketball courts and private screening room. hmmm...does he even know the meaning of the word poverty?
i don't trust many lawyers and especially those like edwards who made their millions off of unscrupulous lawsuits.
