I saw someone use the public Telephone & Public bathroom all at once. They charged 25 cents each to watch and actually made a profit on the call. I Charged 50 cents for the napkins (she wasn't a Girl Scout I guess) I was happy too.

I agree with Poppy. If someone breaks into my home, he/she will be facing a loaded shotgun while I am calling 911. If I had to shoot them to protect my own life, I would do so. Both my husband and I have the right to carry a concealed weapon license and we carry them every where we go. I am sick and tired of hearing that some guy walks into a store, restaurant, school, gym and just starts shooting. If I am in one of those places I will be shooting back and hopefully save a lot of lives. Anything that is outlawed becomes available on the black market. So if the bad guys want guns they will find them just like they find drugs and everything else that is outlawed. People who do not own guns and plenty of ammunition will be very sorry one day. Teach your children from an early age to never touch a gun until they are old enough to learn how to use one. My Dad taught me when I was 16. I have always had full respect for guns. There are certain things in homes that children have no business touching and they should be taught that from an early age.

On holiday at the start of July I saw quite a few people using on site pay phones cus the mobile signal was pretty bad and it was cheaper.
I haven't used phone for at least a year when I was on an adventure holiday with a group of friends to call home because the mobile charges were ridiculous.

This week actually, I was kinda surprised. It was at a gas station (go figure). Really the only place I see people using them is in big cities now a days. I mean in the burbs I never see anyone using a pay phone.

Honestly I can't remember even the last time I saw a pay phone. I know they are still out there but who uses them anymore?

I used one in Gifford, IL about a year ago. The coolest part was that it placed my call, and after I hung up it spit my quarter back out! Too bad it's not there anymore.
