The word "Numskull" is missing the "B" and the dictionary said it is formed from a combination of the words ''Numb" and "Skull" So who left the "B" out??? Am I being a Numskull for asking? Lexicon experts, Please Answer quickly... My head is all tingly from the perplexity....Thank You from the bottom of my heart to the top of my Numb Skull.

I looked it up in two dictionaries in this house and apparently numbskull can be spelled either way. I must confess numskull looks odd, so I'd put the b in.
