I prefer it cold. If possible from the freezer, however I only get vodka shots in bars so it is not always possible. This is just my personal taste. For a quick drink mix orange juice and vodka. 2 or 3 parts orange juice and 1 vodka (screwdriver).

Actually you don't shake a martini, just a slight swirl of the vermouth.
