I know this exists. I just forgot how it can happen.

On a dropped third strike by the catcher the putout has to occur at first base, if the runner beats the throw he would be safe at first base. It would be recorded as a strikeout and an error on the catcher.

If the catcher drops the third strike, whether it be called or swinging, he/she has to either tag the runner or force him/her out at first base.

If he/she fails to do this, an out is not recorded, although it is still recorded as a strikeout.

Therefore there is a chance for four or more strikeouts in an inning.

there are 6 outs in an inning, 3 for each side. If each pitcher get 2 strikeouts, that a total of 4 for the inning.

yes there can be 30 strike outs in an inning

it all depends on the catcher catching the third strike or pitcher throwing a decent pitch that doesnt allow the hitter to swing and miss and run to first

There can 517000 strikeouts in an inning.

If a catcher drops the 3rd strike, or if there is a wild pitch, and the runner can make it to first he gets to stay there. But the pitcher is still credited with a strikeout.

The first answer is correct but also an inning is six out long not three so there can easily be six stirkeouts in a inning. Three strikeout for each pitcher of the inning.

if, when there are 2 strikes in the count, the pitcher pitches a ball that is swung on and missed, but the catcher doesnt catch the ball and lets it land on the ground first, the batter has officialy strucken out, and, because the ball was dropped, the batter can try to run to 1st base, and the catcher will have 2 throw him/tag him out. if he fails to do so, and the batter eaches first safely, no outs will be charged, he gets to stay on first, and he has just strucken out.

thier can be four strikouts in a inning because there is a top and bottom of an inning. each team gets up in one inning. so that means 6 or more batters get up in an inning because each team gets up in 1 inning. thiers the bottom first and top first.

it can happen if the catcher drops the third strike, and the runner gets to first. the strikeout counts, but there is no out recorded.
