PATRICIA MS - you posted a good response but you cannot support your position with sources of documentation. Your answer is well written but it is the socialist party line, "evil socialism". Take a look around you, all that you have is the result of YOUR work and FREE MARKET businesses that provide jobs for peoples welfare. If you really believe what you wrote, find five articles that disprove your thesis, read them, post them, and then lets' discuss it again. You are more intelligent than to regurgitate party rhetoric.

A stronger capitalist economy! That would benefit all people as a whole and we need to do away with our present socialistic indoctrination of our schools.
lltrix -- your lack of understanding life is appalling.

A better job position
A Stronger economy
Effective education
Capitalism!
My Mother started out working in the fields as a laborer along side many Hispanic most likely illegal workers, so she could put herself through school. She stuck to hard work and now has had the success so many people say they can not achieve because of where they started out in life. My father started as the son of a poor farm family with 8 siblings and worked all through high school doing any and all odd jobs to pay his way through flight school. He is now an amazing pilot working in his retired years as a search and rescue pilot. My parents have been married for 32 years and raised 6 children together.
People need to take control of their lives and realize that no one is going to take care of them or their families but them. No one else should have to or need to. Humans are perfectly capable of doing for themselves.

Close down the Government feeding trough, Privatize schools, do away with socialism all together, and you will have a stronger economy. Better jobs are always good, but you get what you put in, LIberals dont get that at all.

Capitalism! Capitalisim affords me the opportunity to change jobs if I am miserable where I work. Capitalism affords businesses to hire the best employees that they can, to make their businesses run better, and that competition means better benefits to attract my job skills. A strong economy means that more capitalism can take place, which makes more jobs for me to choose from...which greatly increases my ability to pursue my own happiness.
Jesus is the only thing better than Capitalism, IMHO.

A. A better job, as long as the man who has a family to feed and was laid off from his union job in Detroit (because of outsourcing) doesnt rob me on my way home from work because we've taken away all the welfare and bootstrap programs. Contrary to popular belief, people will not just lay down and starve to death because the rich shame them into it. Crime results from poverty. Social programs prevent crime. Get tough on crime.
B. The next administration will have to raise taxes. Get used to it now. The baby boomers wont give up social security, medicare, medicaid and the prescription drug plan.
And theres this little gem:

Thanks for that btw
C. Effective education as opposed to political rhetoric.
D. Capitalism that is tempered by social programs to prevent the lowest level of our society from getting too large or so poor they cannot eat or get medical care. An overburdened and disaffected lower class leads to Islamic and Communist revolutions.

Stop fraud, all fraud and make it mandatory jail time set min. 5 years and up to 10 years.
Also place the debt on the individaul that did the fraud and exclude it from federal bankruptcy.
Then they could work the rest of their lives to pay of all the debt assoicated with their felony crime. Also add on any related expenses like salaries of employees, using that additional money for raises across the board for that agency.

Ending welfare for individuals, corporations and foreign nations.
Moving to a sales tax base from an income tax base would eliminate the ridiculously wasteful IRS and would make it impossible for the illegals not to pay taxes.
This alone would save the taxpayers enough to pay down much of the debt that our current administration has racked up.

Job, economy, education, and capitalism. However, I am semi-retired so I wont be looking too hard and I took care of my financial business so wont need handouts. I educate myself daily but don't need a diploma anymore and am a capitalistic pig.
Aint the USA just spanky !!!!!

Which would improve your welfare more effectively?
A better job position, or having your job outsourced?
A stronger economy, or an unsustainable one with massive tax cuts for billionaires and corporations?
Effective education, or 'no child left unfunded'?
Capitalism or a Dictatorship?
