by special effects, i mean more like those pedals that rise or lower the notes that the guitarists play...

some kind of lady by Isley brothers has overkill in it but you also have to realize the times that was normal and rock bands ect were still young and experimenting,Jimi Hendrixs made it a beautiful thing,Roger Meyer fresh from the army at the time made state of the art effects pedals,and at the time only a few Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page got one as well,they knew how play there guitar very efficiently and used it as a way to tap into the stratosphere,listen to the effects in All along the watchtower and feel the sound of jimi's guitar it was atmospheric,it had pretty bends and grooves in the tones,the accent the petal effects had was like having the best salad dressing on a salad.Be Well

actually yes plays everything no special effects

EDIT: I like pink floyd's use of guitars pedals no one else sounds like David
