He didn't even pass that much when he was with the Lakers when they did have Shaq/Ron Harper/Glen Davis/Robert Horry/Rick Fox/Derek Fisher, I don't really blame Shaq for leaving. But then again both of them should have put aside their differences instead of thinking with their egos. Clearly Wade won that championship for Shaq, he didn't have anything to do with it. So technically neither of them have really shined without the other. It's like when Pippen tried to carry to Bulls without Jordan 94-95, he couldn't do it. That's how much they needed each other. I don't think Jordan would have been nearly as effective without one of the most heralded teammates in NBA history either.

Yeah I mean you right, it's not that Kobe should pass more it's the team around him when they get the ball they should be able to hit a wide open jump shot for ONCE. It is not Kobe's fault.

It wouldn't matter if Kobe passed more with the current roster. Did you watch the Lakers last season? Whenever Kobe would pass the ball whoever he passed it to would almost always blow a wide-open shot. Kobe doesn't need another Superstar like a Dwayne Wade, he just needs a somewhat decent big man and maybe a good wing man to knock down some threes and open up the court. Kobe tried passing the ball, and towards the end of the season when it was obvious it was in vain thats when Kobe started taking over a game again. I say jut give Kobe back Big Shot Rob and Derek Fisher and they would be a much improved team.
Look at what a player like Daniel Gibson did for the Cavaliers. He knocked down big 3's when they needed it and it really opened the court up. If the Cav's would have even played at a average level they could have actually competed with the Spurs. Big "Z" is not that good of a player and he is slow, so they didn't really even have a big man.

If Kobe passes the ball more, the Lakers miss more shots. Period. The problem isn't really Kobe, its the fact that the Lakers have a team of average players at BEST and Mitch Kupcheck has no idea what he is doing in the front office. The Lakers have the responsibility of building around Kobe, not forcing Kobe to change who he is and try to make the best out of a crappy team. When the Lakers were winning championships, they depended on Kobe to score, and now they are not that good, so he has to score less?!? What kind of logic is that?
If you agree that the Kobe needs to pass more, you are essentially saying that if the Lakers management can't put enough complimentary pieces around Kobe, it is Kobe's fault that they lose.
If Kobe gets better players around him, he will pass to them more, just because he will have more confidence in them. They will be in better spots and won't have to be such a jump shooting team.
If I sound like a Kobe honk, I'm not. I actually hate the Lakers, but it's irritating and naive for ppl to believe that the best basketball player in the world has to score less and take a less dominating role on the basketball court because his team is terrible.

Kobe hs to do what he does in order for the Lakers to even be competitive. Last year he led the Lakers in assists.
And Shaq was more impactful then you may think. He was steadily double-teammed and people who plays basketball knows that that opens up the floor and for a guy like Wade it was nothing but oppotunity that he took advantage of. And Yes Jordan needed Pip but it ALL revolves around MJ.
