The only thing that matters is what you two believe! And what I mean is on religion, politics, raising of children (& how many), where you want to live, education, and etc....Race has nothing to do with it. Just look at the divorce rate. Divorce has no boundaries. Love and compatibility is what will make your relationship successful!
How does your and his family feel about the interracial relationship? That question will determine how much input you want or will value from your families....Hopefully they will judge you/him on who each other is and not the color of each others skin. Last time I looked we all belong to the same race- The HUMAN RACE!
Good Luck and listen to your heart :-)

Of course I believe in interracial marriage. How do you think races got started! We all come from the same source people. In fact, interracial marriage is biologically better for the preservation of the human race. Cultural differences make it difficult to preserve some interracial marriages, but race in itself has nothing to do with it. Two white people from different places and social backgrounds would have a difficult time making a marriage work... but it can happen. Why would race make any difference?

You need to talk over what you expect in a marriage, sometimes there are stipulations that may come up as to religion, clothing, raising children. that you might not be able to live with, and it could be a big problem in a marriage. Try to find out well in advance of heading to the altar. Then , if you still love one another. get married.

I see nothing wrong with being in a interracial marriage hoever you just started your relationship. Then obviously NO, you shouldnt get married, you just started getting to know each other. It cost way too much cash, and heartache to get a divorce ( i know Ive been there) Give it time to grow, feeling are always more intense in the beginning. Im not saying you need to wait forever just give it more time. Dont jump into marriage and end up unhappy. Please....

There's nothing not to believe in...interracial marriage occurs, it's real, thus everyone must believe in it.
The issue is though, that not everyone supports or condones it. I'm currently in the early stages of what will be an interracial relationship if it progresses...so I'm definitely not against it. ☺
Good luck to you and your partner...may the future hold whatever is best for you both.

Of course! Did you know that just like pure-bred dogs, "pure" races are less healthy than mixed racial people because the gene pool gets shallower? The more we mix, the healthier and hardier human beings are as each group incorporates the strengths of the others.
I'm white, and I see no issues. It can't hurt in the social arena either, eh? :)

Personally, I think that if you two are ok with it, that's the only thing that matters. However, in some families interracial marriage is objected to, and I don't what yours or his are like. Above all, I think you should make this decision for yourself.

yes . if you have a question about interracial marriage and yet you're in an interracial relationship, i would say to ask yourself why you even need to ask this question. most people now a days that live in major cities and are of a modern mind are cool with it so go on and get hitched!

It sounds like it should work out fine. Even if there is someone that opposes your marriage, you could always elope.
Actually, I think history is sorta repeating itself. First, we had protests about interracial marriages, now it's homosexual marriages. Oh well, things seem to work themselves out in the end. Good Luck!
