My daughter wants an mp3 or ipod but we currently don't have internet at home. Can she still put music on either of these without logging into the internet?

If you have a CD drive and the appropriate software you can "rip" tracks off Cd's you already own to upload to the mp3 player, essentially (depending on the size of mp3 player's memory/hard drive) carrying your entire CD collection with you. Most players come with software that will allow you to copy tracks off of Cd's that you have.

Yes you can put it on it from like a cd or something but thats all you can not download music. So to answer your question yes you can put cd's and saved music on it.

you can't download music from online programs w/out the net. she can upload cds from friends. or see if a friend can upload their collection to her mp3 player

Yes you can with cd but you have to put the information about the songs (Artist,Album,Song,etc...) by yourself. thats really a pain in you know where.
