Been ttc for 4 months now and according to my ovulation calander my most fertile day was on the 18th and I have been having unprotected sex very frequently this month. I know that when you are not fertile that your cervix feels firm like the tip of your nose and when you are fertile that your cervix should feel soft like your lips. Well, how should it feel when you are pregnant? Also, it is supposed to feel soft right before menstruation, but my cervix feels soft and my period isn't due untill the 3rd of August?

Really, there is no difference in feel that I can remember. Purple and poofy is why my doc told me, but that's about it.

My cervix gets really hard and tall ( if that makes sense?) right before af and it is okay to check your cervix what you are feeling is a shaft ( I don't know if thats the best word) but it protects your real cervix. Im' wondering whats going on with me - my cervix got really hard a week early and now its softening up so hopfully that means I'm not alone any more!

I am 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and my cervix is soft. It got soft the day before my period was due.

*For whoever says you aren't supposed to check your cervix, it's okay to check your cervix after you wash your hands. Think about it, a penis goes in there too.

Um.. you really shouldn't be feeling your cervix. You could be introducing all kinds of contaminants that could prevent you from getting pregnant. Leave it up to the professionals.
