There's about a dime's worth of difference between the two. It's quite sad to think people like Adam here think any Dem or Republican has his best interests in mind. People don't get into politics because they more concerned about OTHER people's welfare. Politicians are egomaniacs; it's not that they hate America so much, but that they love themselves more.

A Democrat tends to be someone who believes the American way of life is the best on Earth, and wants everybody to live the American way. Republicans also believe the American way of life is the best on Earth, and they will bleed the rest of the planet white to maintain it.
