What a great question, but tough to narrow down. I would probably pick a few players, but for different reasons. If I were to pick solely because of a players ability, I would have to pick Roberto Clemente. He was my favorite player as a kid ( even though I'm a Cubs fan) and while he wasn't the greatest player of all time, I think he was the most fun to watch. Jackie Robinson might be interesting to talk too while having a catch, would be cool to get his perspective on breaking the color barrier and perhaps his thoughts on why there are fewer African-American players today. Babe Ruth would be fun, if for no other reason then he'd probably pick up the tab for a few beers afterwards.
But if I truly had my choice, (and I hate to borrow from the movie) I would love to be able to play catch with my dad a few more times. He's still with us, and is in good shape at age 81, but can't really do those types of things anymore. I was lucky enough to play baseball from age 7 through high school and played a few years of semi-pro ball when I was in my 20's, but I think the most fun I had was just tossing a ball back and forth in our front yard with the old man. We would talk about what had happened during the day, we'd talk about baseball, and we'd talk about life.I think these little games of catch did more to increase my love for the game then any of my other experiences with it.

Past: So many to choose from! I'd probably go with Honus Wagner. He was such a good player, and is usually overlooked.

Present: David Wright. I have a lot of current favorite players, but he just seems really nice.

I would also like to play catch with one of the women in who played in the AAGPBL. I did a lot of research on it last summer, and I would love to have a chance to just talk about it with someone who actually was in it.
