People don't seem to understand that this is a FEDERAL case. Federal indictments have ridiculously high rates of conviction. This isn't some state DA putting together a case, it's the US Government. Vick is in a heap of trouble and all the money and lawyers in the world are not going to be able to keep him out of prison.

Even if Michael Vick is innocent of these charges he's guilty of being an idiot for not watching out for himself or his family. At some point you need to choose the things you do carefully. Too many people, athletes or not, that gain a good amount of money think it's cool to be a thug. Just because you have money does not mean you have any class at all. I hope he can get this straightened out for his sake, I'm just glad he's not on my team.

Yes, but I don't think he'll be convicted of all the charges. I'm guessing 6 months to a year. He'll hire great lawyers who get payed a lot of money to keep wealthy people out of the clink and they're very good at what they do. Also, he'll throw somebody else under the bus to limit the amount of blame that goes to him.

It depends on what the courts say.

If he's convicted, yes.
If he's acquitted, no.

I personally don't condone what he's done. But, there is a thing called 'due process' that everyone is entitled to regardless of how heinous the crime is.

I can wait until the verdict comes out. Until then, by our justice system, he's innocent until proven guilty.

No. Conviction or not he will be able to buy his way out of these problems. Prisons are already overcrowded with no room for people who committed violent crimes against people.

He should be in prison so I hope he gets whats coming.

he better. it is unacceptable that a person who is as popular as michael vick is, would treat an animal in the way those dogs were treated is prison bound.

Yup I do because the justice system knows that people who willfully and sadistically abuse an innocent animal are very likely to one day do the same thing to another human being .
The disturbing number of the day is that 100% of all serial killers have a history of animal abuse in their past.

If they can "teach" Paris Hilton a lesson, they can teach that sicko a few things.

Although i'd much rather see him run the Falcons into the ground this year. Oh well

One would only hope, what he did was sedistic and gross, he should rot in a prison cell for the rest of his life...but it will probably only be 5-7 years
