I know it's easy to get discouraged when you really want a baby, but getting stressed about it is very counterproductive. First of all, you can not be diagnosised with infertility until you have been off birth control for at least one year (6 months if you are over 35).
After that time a doctor can do a number of tests on both you and your partner to rule out possible complications and correct any that they find.
My best advice is to learn exactly when you are ovulating and concentrate on trying on and before that day to maximize your chances. If you don't know how to chart ovulation, check out these board or post another question. You can also go the easy route and buy ovulation predictor kits. They didn't work for me...but have for a lot of my friends.
My husband and I tried for four year. After a diagnosis of PCOS for me and low sperm count for him we did everything our doctor told us to do. We gave up completely a year later and suprise suprise...got pregnant a month later. If I can get pregnant with everything working against me, anyone can!
Best of luck to you!!!

1. i had an ovarian cyst and got pregnant when i was diagnosed with it
2. 4 months of ttc is not a lot at all
3. i'm 6 weeks now and it took me 9 months!!!!
4. tip: have sex every other day: that way you'll have your bases covered
5. a cicle of 32 to 33 days is fine as long as you're regular. it just means it takes u longer between periods to conceive.
6. depending on your age, you can start worrying after 12 months of ttc not 4.

4 months is not bad, but depending on your age, it might seem a lot so you need to take control, and do things properly.
Monitor your cervical mucus and watch out for sticky stretchy type,
use OPK tests, start intercourse from day 10, every other day and when OPK shows positive do it 3days continuously.
You can take temperature record also, this tells you whether you ovulated or not. After faithfully following you still don't get pregnant. COnsult a fertility expert, they will run bunch of tests and let you know if all is well.
It is all about getting the sperm there ready when you release an egg. And it is all about timing.
Educate yourself on fertilityfreind.com ot ivillage or any other website
Good luck

At 4 months unless you both go and get checked there is no way to determine if there is a problem. Most couples who are healthy and actively TTC can take anywhere between 6 months to a year.
A watched pot never boils. Instead of making this all about conception, just relax and have fun. If in a year you're still not pregnant, talk to your doctor.

At best, your chances of conceiving every month are no more than 20%, so you're fine in that way.
I would suggest ovulation predictor kits as your first line of defense.
Since you did have ovarian issues, a standard round of blood work (FSH, E2, thyroid) would be non-invasive and could rule out some really basic issues. A sperm analysis for your partner is also something to evaluate.

The OB-GYN will not do anything for you until you have been trying to conceive for a year with no luck. I've been trying for #1 9 months. Just relax and pray to God that it happens. Maybe God doesn't want you to have children yet. Focus on a hobby to get your mind off it.

Many women get cysts so I wouldn't worry about that. Each month, when sex is timed perfectly, you only have about a 25% chance of conceiving. This is due to the low quality of our eggs. You will eventually get a good egg. 90% of couple conceive with 12 months of trying.

*my wife and i tried for 1 1/2 yrs. till we went to doctor for *help. sex every other day gives you a better chance, it gives his sperm count a chance to "recharge".
*check out using a Basel thermometer, it can tell you when you're ovulating.there are also tests at the pharmacy similar to a preg. test that do this.
*have hubby checked out at urologist to see if is soldiers are good to go to work.
***and try to not get stressed out, it makes the sex no fun after a while.
oh, and cysts are common in women, your doctor would let you know if you should be worried about it.

Oh my goodness. Four months isn't long at all! If you're under 35, they recommend you try to conceive for one year before seeking medical advice. If you're over 35, you should go to the doctor after 6 months.
I tried for 4-1/2 YEARS and finally conceived after thousands of dollars worth of fertility treatment so please don't complain about four MONTHS!
