you are paying for 1 mbps so that's all you are getting. your Wi-Fi equipment can handle 100 mpbs but it will never operate at that level in the real-world.

I think you first need to connect directly, if you can, and bypass the router entirely. Then find out why your connection is so doggy. For DSL, it's slow; for cable, it's criminally slow. The wireless can keep up with whatever you give it but will never be any better than what the router is connected to.

It depends on the routrer and your ISP plans. You can switch your router into the latest router, Draft N. But you may need to buy some Wireless N card for the computer if they do not support 802.11N. Draft N speeds thew connection up to 300Mbps!!!

probably some people is using ur network to access the net.if u got alot of pple,it will slow ur wireless internet
